Vacature: Senior Communication Specialist

The function

What will be your key responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

  • Manage content and community engagement for the CAC Intranet website (Social Intranet).
  • Initiate and execute internal communication content and mediums.
  • Advise, coordinate, and edit company-wide communications from the Management Board and various departments.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to Mercedes-Benz Standards and Corporate Identity rules.
  • Support intra-company communication about the CAC.
  • Liaise with different departments and the Works Council on relevant internal communications.
  • Define and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly communication campaigns.
  • Develop and coordinate events and communication plans on strategic matters.
  • Play a key role in employer branding development and maintenance.
  • Consult on communication strategies for high-profile programs and projects.
  • Regularly review and update the CAC Communication Guidelines.
  • Be familiar with the latest trends in communication, including platforms, methods, and technologies, with the ability to leverage these for innovative and effective organizational communication.


External Communications:

  • Maintain and manage content for the CAC Internet website.
  • Act as a CAC spokesperson in collaboration with the Management Board and other stakeholders.
  • Handle crisis situations impacting the CAC image.
  • Liaise with MBNL and Headquarters for crisis communication and press releases.
  • Ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz Corporate Identity and Social Media Governance rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; German knowledge is highly appreciated.
  • Proven expertise in creating and executing communication strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and translate complex information into clear messages.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • High-level proficiency in PowerPoint; knowledge of photo editing and graphic design software is a plus.
  • Digital fluent with experience in collaboration and social media applications.
  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills, with an emphasis on building effective relationships.
  • Ability to exhibit a sense of urgency for timely delivery of critical content.
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge of Change Management principles.
  • Confidence in driving initiatives with various stakeholders, including at the executive level.
